I’m here to help you get your hope back!
Tabitha Soderstrom, LPCC, Christian Therapist in SD, MN, WI & FL
You’re ready to step into the fullness of life.
You’ve spent too long weighed down by the pain of past experiences or anxious thoughts that never seem to quiet down. You know there’s more to life than this—you know you’re meant for more—and you’re ready to discover what that looks like for you.
I help adult individuals embrace their God-given identities, pursue healing, and gain new perspectives on themselves, their lives, and their relationships.
I work with clients looking for a nonjudgmental, safe, and compassionate therapy experience. They need somewhere they can feel comfortable opening up about the questions, experiences, and struggles they may not have shared before.
Healing isn’t easy, but it is possible. I will not minimize you or your experiences, and you’ll have the freedom to tell your story at your own pace. I won’t rush you, and I won’t tell you what to do. I will, however, offer truth and support you in coming to your own conclusions about what’s best for you (because it looks different for everyone).
HOW I WORK
Along with being a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This method is a powerful healing technique that helps you overcome negative beliefs about yourself, reprocess painful memories, and gain new perspective on the circumstances you encounter in life.
In addition to EMDR, you’ll also learn practical coping strategies you can put into action in your day-to-day life.
As we begin the therapy process together, we’ll identify which approaches and methods will be most useful for you.
Everything we do in therapy—what we talk about, the methods we use, the things we work on—will be guided by you and your needs.
My own journey of healing
I am a mama of 3! I’ve been a wife, mother, step-mother, a single mom and a prodigal child. The road I have walked has rarely been without incident, but I am grateful for life's setbacks and how they have allowed me to speak life and hope into others who are currently walking through those hard places.
I counsel from a faith-based perspective; however, Christian faith is not required for counseling. Come as you are! The ground is level at the foot of the cross.
At the end of the day, I need Jesus just as much as anyone else. In therapy with me, you will be cared for by someone who has walked the rocky path and come out healed and whole on the other side.
